Holy shit, Demon Lord Dante has a lot of fanservice
I am pretty sure that, regardless of race, creed, or culture, being a little girl getting your hair done up ranks about 11 on a 10-point scale of Please Momma Don’t.
Pushing poses by Shermcohen
I can tell, long time ago I saw this, and true this is one of the most useful things at the moment to pose a character in 3D. worth a reblog
Thanks for sharing :) More from my original posts at http://cartoonsnap.blogspot.com/2008/09/how-to-draw-lively-poses-spongebob-tip.html
This actually looks quite useful! :O
NASA recently released imagery showing the deforestation of America …in just 34 years.
We are killing the Earth
Huh. That’s strange. I don’t remember Colorado and the entire western US as having absolutely no vegetation this past summer when I was there. Looks to me that this is more like a comparison of winter to summer. Oh wait, it is a comparison of winter to summer?
About the ‘1978’ picture:
The ‘1978’ picture has been altered to appear more green, aanndd it was taken in 2002. Also:
“The land and coastal ocean portions of these images are based on surface observations collected from June through September 2001 and combined, or composited, every eight days to compensate for clouds that might block the sensor’s view of the surface on any single day.”
^^^^That paragraph is from NASA’s website discussing the image on the left. So basically, it was taken in 2002, over the duration of the summer months. With me so far?
About the 2012 picture:
Well, this one *was* taken in 2012…in January of 2012.
“A ‘Blue Marble’ image of the Earth taken from the VIIRS instrument aboard NASA’s most recently launched Earth-observing satellite – Suomi NPP. This composite image uses a number of swaths of the Earth’s surface taken on January 4, 2012. The NPP satellite was renamed ‘Suomi NPP’ on January 24, 2012 to honor the late Verner E. Suomi of the University of Wisconsin. “
Again, the preceding paragraph is from a NASA page. Please note that the images used to create the 2012 composite were taken in January. January is a winter month up here in North America. In the winter, vegetation goes brown, trees go bare, and basically anything that isn’t an evergreen says “See ya next summer!”
We are merely looking at the difference between summer and winter on the North American continent…a difference that is made to look more drastic by the color-alteration of the 2002 image. This is not an example of deforestation.
Don’t get me wrong…I fully support the ending of deforestation, and anything that can help the environment recover from the multiple blows we have sent its way. That being said, while it is truly absolutely wonderful to care about the environment and the world that we live in, taking images like these that actually have nothing to do with deforestation does nothing good for that cause and instead makes those who support salvaging our environment kinda look like they don’t know anything. Knowledge and using actual scientific proof that we are harming the environment says a lot more than two incorrectly attributed images ever will.
Do your research, guys, instead of taking what you see on the internet at face value, reblogging it, and adding ‘fuck ppl’.
Instead of giving the nay-sayers more fuel to their fire, lets act like adults, not spread incorrect information, and have an actual conversation about things like this.
